Advantis appointed to HM Revenue & Customs debt collection panel
Date 01/09/11
Following one of the largest tender exercises ever held within the debt collection industry, Advantis
has been appointed to the HMRC Framework Agreement for debt collection.
In 2009, HMRC started to investigate the use of private sector debt collection agencies (DCAs)
to collect some of its debts. Now, following successful trials, HMRC is expanding its use of DCAs
in order to recoup as much money as possible still outstanding to the Treasury. In total, 10 DCAs
have now been appointed to the Framework Agreement.
Steve Jackson, Managing Director commented,
“This is a hugely significant appointment for Advantis and we are looking forward to helping HMRC
close the tax gap. The tender exercise has been lengthy and thorough and attracted substantial levels
of interest and competition. We are confident that HMRC have in place a high quality supplier panel,
able to work with them to reduce debt levels.”
